Multi-target regulation 

Biological systems and also the bodies of human beings and higher animals are made up of complex systems which interact with each other to stay in balance. In disease conditions many of these interacting systems are thus out of balance and need to be corrected. The best way to restore this balance is to use medications which address many of these targets at once. 

Plants and other biological materials have a complex chemistry, due to the many substances present in one plant. By combining different plants and materials in combination medications, many targets can be addressed at once, thus restoring the equilibrium in a balanced way as it would happen in nature.

This Multi-target approach has also the benefit that it makes the medication much more gentle.

   

Treatment according to the stage of disease progression

Disease has been postulated to progress through various tissues and stages, from the blood and tissue fluids to the so-called extracellular matrix (the connective tissue in between cells), till it finally reaches the cellular structures of the body.  

In bio-regulating medicine the diseases are classified according to this progression in the so called Disease Evolution Table.

This enables the physician to construct a treatment plan according to the stage of the disease progression.

 

Stimulation of the body’s own regulatory mechanisms

By using very low doses of substances, the regulatory systems of the body are gently activated to restore the balance naturally. For instance, in the immune system low concentrations of plant material are thought to activate certain cells called T regulatory cells, which are used naturally in the body to keep inflammation in check.The treatment is thus very close to the way nature would do it.
